Wizarding degrees, and what they have to offer you.
All courses are three years long. As expected, there are three semesters within each year during which you will take a variety of modules. In your first year, there is a guaranteed field trip specific to your chosen specialism(s).
But - what are you working towards?
The two new Ministry approved qualifications are as follows:
There is no difference in the quality of SWH and a JWH; they are just there to reflect student interests. There are more obvious specialism combinations (i.e. Care Of Magical Creatures and Herbology), but any courses can be paired together to tailor to your needs.
These qualifications will be internationally recognised, and will open doors into careers you might never have expected otherwise.
The four grades used for assignments and overall certification are: Distinction (85% and above), Merit (65% and above), Pass (50% and above) and Fail (below 50%).
SPECIALISMS AVAILABLE AS FULL COURSES:
Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Astronomy, Care Of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defence Against The Dark Arts, Divination, Herbology, History Of Magic, Potions, Transfiguration
SPECIALISMS AVAILABLE AS SECONDARY COURSES/ADDITIONAL MODULE CHOICES:
Alchemy, Muggle Studies, Professional Quidditch, Wand Lore
Students are also able to take two modules outside of their chosen subject(s) each year too, if they wish. These include modules from additional subjects not considered as a full course - but cannot take more than one field trip.
A full breakdown of each course, its modules and field trip for this first year will be collated shortly.
Please see the document below for more information about how semesters and module will work.
